I often receive requests for a reading list. Here are the twelve books you should start with if you appreciate the Becoming Noble project.
These have been chosen because they are outside of the core Western canon (the most widely recognized Ancient and European thinkers). The works herein are not intended to be a replacement for this canon, but a supplement.
These readings are intended to achieve two things: the stripping away of liberal prejudices to reveal the spiritual wasteland of modernity, and the charting of a path back to greater heights where the spirit returns.
The Decline of the West by Oswald Spengler (1918)
This masterwork situates us in time. It provides the reader with a map of history but suggests no path. It is a necessary starting point, explaining the inexorable logic of history that all our future decisions must account for and attach themselves to.
World-history is the history of the great Cultures, and peoples are but the symbolic forms and vessels in which the men of these Cultures fulfil their Destinies.
Once we know where we are, we must chart our course. We turn to our next book.
